Why do girls hate when guys wear these? I'm not talking skinny jeans, just classic regular-fit Levis.
Update: EDIT: The jeans I'm talking about are Levi 505s. These are relatively slim-looking and taper down at the ankle- not as extreme as skinny jeans, but still slim-looking. They are the "original jeans", and older guys (40s and 50s) tend to wear them.

I don't think they are bad looking and if it looks good on a guy then why shouldn't he wear them? But this is about preference, and in my opinion, if it looks hot and the guy feels comfortable in it, then by all means he should wear it.
i love that type of fit on a guy. I like the jeans to be slightly fitted, it makes their body look very sexy :) don't listen to what other people say. most of them have no idea what they are talking about
Just to continue my comment, I personally don't like them. I don't think they are stylish. As far as a guy skinny jean, you have to have the personality to pull it off and also not be too thin. They are stylish but not for everyone.
If these are the ones fitted at the ankle, that is a VERY dated look and a bit feminine. But if they are more fitted jeans overall as compared to the baggy ones, I think they look good on a guy who has a medium build. A skinny or heavy build cannot properly pull that look off.
It's obviously not so dated that I noticed without having to have it pointed out to me.
How is it feminine? I would see the fitted ones as more feminine. Skinny jeans started as women's clothes after all. Levi 505s were originally men's work pants. - 5 months ago

Are we arguing here? You asked for a female's opinion and I'm giving it.
Women wear tapered at the ankle jeans. They are sometimes called mommy jeans because the tapered look is 90s and the women who continue to wear them started wearing them before they became mothers. I don't know what that has to do with you noticing a dated look.
Also, some men's jeans start to taper at the knee where the whole calve is tapered as opposed to a gradual tapering which becomes extreme at the ankle. - 5 months ago
Question Asker
I think the ones I was referring to are the mens jeans that taper at the knee. Not the same as "mom jeans" which are really tight. - 5 months ago

Well really tight on my mom anyway. - 5 months ago
i LIKE it when guys wear regular fit jeans. I don't like skinny jeans and I definitely don't want my man wearing jeans so baggy his boxers are hanging out.
ever heard of mom jeans? this is the guy version of it. The rise on the 505s is 11.25 inches and that is just to high. Also, they are straight legged, not tapered.which is a good thing because tapered jeans look odd. If you want a "real" classic fit go for the 501s. Personally, I prefer jeans to sit below the waist, fitted through the butt and thigh and ending in a boot cut.
It was my ex who told me that; her excuse is "they're not flattering on any body type". I mean they make your hips look wider and your legs skinnier, but I don't see how that's a big deal. - 5 months ago
Theres nothing wrong with it. It's not you it's the girl, don't just change your look just because of her or she will start controlling your every move.
Would you rather wear jeans that squashes your entire lower-body or jeans that are so baggy that they can fall any second. Besides there's nothing wrong with wearing clothes that fit. If she has a problem with it then give her some levis.
