Is spray tanning a good idea? I don't exactly want to fake bake, but I have a dance comming up soon and my dress is strapless and I have hideous tan lines.
I have terrible sun tan lines since all summer I wore a thick strapped tank top. I am a VERY pale girl, so the tan is VERY noticable.
I plan on getting it done professionally, but I don't know how soon before the dance I should get it or if my skin may turn orange. Which would be very undesirable. Any one who can just give me some ideas or pointers would be very helpful! I have check online, but I'm curious about the results from people who've spray tanned.
I get spray tans all the time and truth is, you look a little orange for a day or two. But after you shower a few times, you look tan enough and less like an oompa loompa. My suggestion is to go in and get the spray tan a couple of days before your dance so you will have time to get rid of the super orange color. Also, get the lightest level of spray possible. Level 3 would NOT be a good thing for someone who has never done sprayed before.
When you get in the booth, make sure you put the barrier cream exactly where you want it. I find that putting some lightly across my knuckles and the tops of my toes as well as on my hands and feet give me better results with less streaking.
I wouldn't do it. I have a friend who is on the paler side who does spray tans and she looks like an orange. It's not attractive and you can tell it's fake. I'd recommend going to a tanning bed that uses lights to tan you. Go topless and after a few times it should even out, while maintaining a natural skin color/tone.
Even if I choose a very light color to just help even out the tan? I'm not to sure about the tanning beds... I know people who turn out looking worse than when they went in. - 2 months ago

i don't know about spray tan, you could just try some on your stomach though and see what happens. So if something goes wrong no one will see it, unless. But just pick a spot on your body that will be covered up and use it aa your test spot. You could get a spray tan or use self tanners work well.
