Tan is more better on my eyes personally, I don't know if your really pale its kinda a turn off. Pale gives the image of I'm not really social I play video games all day. You know? Tan tends to look more alive not only that but like everyday you wake up you'd rather see the sun the white pale sky. Same goes for skin, I'd rather see tan nice skin than pale skin not that all pale is bad just not the best.
I have to agree with every other guy here lol i don't understand why girls get fake tans..ok well yeah they don't want to be white but it looks so fake and obvious. either you're orange or an unnatural shade. get a natural tan, or deal with your natural skin color. I like lighter skin, not really pale though
This time of year I'm so white I could glow in the dark, in the summer I just can't get a good tan I just burn and burn badly no matter how much sun screen I put on. I don't think I look unhealthy, I'm told I'm pretty. But I'd rather be white then orange. - 9 months ago
As long as the girl doesn't look sickly pale as if they have lived in a cave their entire life, then it doesn't matter. Sometimes, tanned girls can be seen as if they are latino, and many guys have the notion that latino girls are sexy.
I think a natural tan looks attractive, but the dark tanning booth tans make a girl look fake. They are way overdone, and do not add to natural beauty. Plus, like other people have said, it causes premature aging.
I don't really like tans, 'specially dark tans, because dark tans make it look like you just sit out in the sun and tan all day, as opposed to going out and enjoying yourself. A fun girl is always hotter than a tan one.
I think being tanned ADDS to the attractiveness but you don't HAVE to be tanned too be attractive. I don't really care whether they're tanned or not when I'm looking for a girl.
Lets say that you take a girl who is fairly attractive. If you make her blonde (a well done classy sexy dye job) and tan her, she will draw more attention and be considered hotter (In this country). If you put her in an area where tanned blondes are a dime a dozen (lets say parts of california) a sexy lighter brunette or red head might stand out more (like angelea jolie, she is considered one of the most attractive in a sea of tanned blonde models and actresses).
Tanned skin looks healthier (ironically) and I think most guys will agree that it can add to an already attractive package. If you want to tan, I have heard from women that spray tans are just as good as machine or sun tans, and are a lot better for your skin and health.
If you don't tan well and burn, I would consider finding a celebrity with your skin tone who looks sexy, and use her to help model your style. You don't have to tan to be hot, it is just another option (but it can work well depending on the girl).
Depends. Tan in the summer looks good, especially if you're a blond. Tan in the winter just looks out of place like you're trying too hard. So it all depends what skin color you are. Does it matter, I would say yes. Just know when to do it.
I think on average, tan has a connotation of hotness... on average maybe tan is regarded as a bit nicer, but being pale can be just as nice and look better on many girls. You should experiment - go to the beach one day, get a nice tan (if you live in a freaking cold place like I do currently you'll have to wait a few months :( ), and see if you like it better on yourself. Both are fine, but to tell you the truth I think there is a slight tendency towards tans in general, but very slight, that's why tannins beds exist..... but I personally wouldn't recommend that method of tanning it's pretty bad for you. Unless you're extremely white (ie. albino) , I don't think guys will care much about the exact shade of your skin.
This time of year I'm so white I could glow in the dark, in the summer I just can't get a good tan I just burn and burn badly no matter how much sun screen I put on. I don't think I look unhealthy, I'm told I'm pretty. But I'd rather look white then look like some of the orange people I see everyday lol
Apparently some guys like paler girls. :-) I think whatever is natural for you will look best. Don't try too hard or you could definitely damage your skin, but a little sun is also good for you. Just be healthy. Whatever shade you are, you are beautiful. I did some damage trying to tan my Irish skin when I was younger, and regret it. I am much more cautious now about sun exposure. My mom ended up with a small skin cancer that scared us a bit, so I am even more careful now. Just make sure I have on a little SPF and am not out too long. But your natural shade is what is meant to be, and suits you. :-) My man calls me snowflake. LOL. I guess he doesn't mind I don't have a tan and I am sure he appreciates the soft skin more than a tan any day.
Honey, do yourself a favor and don't even think about going to a tanning spa. Yes you will look more attractive with a darker skin, for maybe another 5 years, but it is not really fun when you look as old as your mom does when you are still 30.
Sun or the tanning beds contribute to aging so fast that you don't need any extra factors to the natural aging process. I am pale and never have felt uncomfortable about it, I do tan too, but not because a guy will find me attractive, but because I like to do outdoor activities.
I think that as long as your skin looks healthy, moisturized, and soft guys like it. But I'm not a guy. So I say take care of your skin, keep it smooth, and if maybe one day you forget you SPF 40 and all you have is SPF 15 You'll be just fine. Just remember that tan may look good now, but it ages your skin dramatically, so you can have pretty tan skin for 10 years and then you look like a boot, or pretty pale skin for 30.
My skin is naturally tan; however, Whenever the hot sunny sun is out, it's wonderful uv rays hit my skin and it gets darker(tan). After my skin...
