I prefer my hair short, its easier to handle and I think I look better with short hair. I've talked to my female friends and they like long hair on themselves. But I've heard guys talk about girls with short hair calling them lesbians, simply because they have short hair. I don't want super short hair, just by my ears. What do you guys think of that?
When it comes to hair, the longer the better. Men like long hair as an evolutionary trait because it shows that the female is healthy and takes good care of herself. There was actually a scientific study done recently, and it showed men overwhelmingly preferred women with long hair.
I consider short hair to be to the shoulders or above, medium from little below shoulders to around mid back, longer than that and it's long. - 8 months ago
You mean chin or above is short. because your definition of medium length doesn't make anatomical senes lol. - 7 months ago

Ok, let me be more specific. What I mean by short is hair that just touches the shoulder or is shorter than that. Long means longer than middle of the back. And medium is anywhere in between the two. But that's just how I think, I don't think there are any official definitions of short, medium or long hair. - 7 months ago
Bullsh*t. So if a girl has long hair she is healthy and takes good care of herself but when she gets her hair cut short oh no she's not healthy anymore and doesn't take care of herself. What a load of crap! There's no evolution about it, it's purely a preference shaped by society. - 3 months ago

No, it's definitely not bullsh*t, it's been well documented time and time again by various researchers. Women's long hair has been considered to be beautiful universally so it's not a cultural thing or anything to do with society. Up until recent times, women who had short hair either had some illness or didn't take very good care of themselves. While that may not be true today, people's instincts have not changed, evolutionarily speaking we are still the same. - 26 days ago

Long hair is more feminine, most guys prefer it at least a little. But it's not that important. Short hait won't hurt you if you're pretty, and long hair won't make you beautiful if you're homely.
As for the lesbian thing, they do usually have short hair. It sucks to get wrongly stereotyped, I know.
I don't like the short hair look on girls. My girlfriend was thinking of doing it and I didn't like the idea.
I will be friends with girls with short hair of course and I'm not going to make fun, but I believe girls just look a lot sexier with hair at least down to their jaw.
Like anything else it realy depends on the guy, myself I don't go for short hair but if I found a cool girl I liked, I really could'nt care less about her hair.
Short hair can be really sexy, as long as it is a girl cut and doesn't look like you went to a guy barber and got the cut the guy on the cover of the "hair cut book " has. A lot of guys find shorter hair sexy, It screams I am confident with who I am and still look and act like a woman.
My hair is short and the only person that I care to impress with it is me. If a guy doesn't like my short hair then that's his problem and his loss. Of course there are guys out there who prefer girls with long hair and that's cool but I like my hair short and I wouldn't grow it long just for a guy.
I have short hair too:) I had long hair for many years because it was a school rule to have long hair. But I prefer to have mine short. It gives you your own look, shows that you're confident and it's more convenient when you work out(:
"I look nothing like the girls from Sex and the City" "My body isn't even close to the bodies in the magazines" "My boobs are too small" "My boobs are too big" "I have a ghetto booty" "I have no butt"...
I have a little frustration and anger towards social pressures put on all of us to pick a certain type of guy/girl. We go out with someone that does not fit this ideal and we nervously glance around...
