  • The album "Disintegration" by "The Cure". For a movie, "An Unmarried Woman". It's a masterpiece and a landmark film.

    • From the song Disintegration:
"it's easier for me to get closer to heaven than ever feel whole again"

"i never said i would stay to the end i knew i would leave you with babies and everything
screaming like this in the hole of sincerity screaming me over and over and over i leave
you with photographs pictues of trickery stains on the carpet and stains on the memory
songs about happiness murmured in dreams when we both of us knew how the end always is...

how the end always is... "

    • "Prayers For Rain"

you shatter me your grip on me a hold on me
so dull it kills you stifle me infectious sense of
hopelessness and prayers for rain i suffocate i
breathe in dirt and nowhere shines but desolate
and drab the hours all spent on killing time
again all waiting for the rain

you fracture me your hands on me a touch so
plain so stale it kills you strangle me entangle
me in hopelessness and prayers for rain i
deteriorate i live in dirt and nowhere glows but
drearily and tired the hours all spent on killing
time again all waiting for the rain

What Girls Said 7

  • Dude, skip the survival kit! Instead, take her out on a girl's night. Go do something fun and give her a great, happy experience. If you do the survival kit, that implies that 1. this break up is worth mourning (no break up really is) and 2. she's not strong enough to get through it. The best way to take her mind off of a breakup is to give her a good time. Cheer her up instead of encouraging her to feel sad.

  • I have what I call a "self help box" that is there to help me through panic attacks and episodes of anxiety and depression. Some of the things in it are:

    • emergency phone numbers; my closest friends, trusted family members, help hot-lines, etc
    • my journal to write down how I'm feeling
    • an inhaler and beta blockers
    • my sketchbook and pencils so I can draw
    • a playlist of songs that relax me
    • a stress ball/bubble wrap
    • a joke book to make me laugh
    • incense and scented candles

I hope you can find some things in here that are of use to you :)

  • Uhhh geez you kids definitely watch too much tv nowadays and believe everything on it. There's no such thing. You just whether the storm like everyone else. By means of annoying and boring your friends about it through talking on Facebook, a life journey or eating or shopping your feelings away.

  • Booze. But I see your under 18 so that's probably out. Don't get a sappy love movie, get a comedy or something.
