Why is the texting different than in-person conversations?

So this guy and i have great chemistry in person, we can talk for days and laugh at everything when we're together.

But over text its something different, the conversation always dies.

Is this a bad thing or am i overthinking?

  • Wow I'm surprised it's not the opposite. Usually it's pretty awkward in person and much better over text... But the thing is, is that in person you can actually figure out the other persons emotions and the way they're saying things.

You can get a better meaning to what they're saying in person. However in person you are forced to come up with things to talk about. In text, if things get boring you just stop replying.

  • texting is way different from a real face to face human conversation

  • Because you can't see the other person real-time reaction (facial expressions, tone, attitude) and so it can affect the meaning...especially if that other person is a love interest of yours.
