After having been led on, how are you supposed to trust the next people you date aren't leading you on?

If that makes sense... how do you tell someone you're dating isn't leading you on? Or do you do the following?

"Love like you have never been hurt before and never will get hurt."

With each person no matter how many times you get hurt?

  • It's always going to be hard. Always. I think we can keep our guard up enough to not let our emotions take the wheel but we must always have our heart open to see where things could go.

Most Helpful Guy

  • Yes, with each person, no matter how many times.

That new person? It's not their fault the last 20 people were assholes. They don't deserve your anger/cynicism/bitterness because they just met you.

  • If you like the person you'll take the risk that's what love and relationships are all about. If you're not going to at least try to trust the person it's not going to work so don't bother.

  • Guard your heart and let them prove that you can trust them with their actions not their words

  • If this new person is going to stick with you they'll fight for you until you believe them but it may hurt them plenty till then, if you let them in and they hurt you then you'll hurt plenty... but should they pay for the crimes of others? it is a risk either way take a pick
