What would you say to him in reply to what he's saying?

If a man told you that he's not dating anymore after dating for many 20 years until God tells him who his wife is going to be because:
1. He works hard for his money and he doesn't want to spend it on anyone but his wife as far as dating and relationships are concerned.
2. He values his time and he doesn't want to give it to anyone but his wife as far as dating and relationships are concerned.
3. His positive emotions like love are sacred and he doesn't want to give them to anyone but his wife as far as dating and relationships are concerned.
4. He has given his everything to women in the past and was left with nothing afterwards and he doesn't want to give his everything to anyone but his wife as far as dating and relationships are concerned.
What would you say to him?

  • That he needs to spend some time alone with god and re-evaluate his perceptions. I also know for a fact that god will never 'tell' a person whom to date.

God reveals all that you need to know clearly through nature and his word. Every other area of your life is supposed to be a result of faith in him and the fact that he will lead the believer.

A guy needs to be able to spend at least SOME money on a girl. It's very self centered and limited to only focus on self as far as dating and relationships are concerned.

It seems like this person is reacting to his past experiences rather than using his reason.
