Why do guys tend to ask out girls who have recently just got out of a relationship more often than girls who have been single for a while?

I've noticed this (not sure if it is true or not) but it seems like this usually happens.
Does it have to do with the whole "people like to flirt with people in relationship more vs. when they are single" thing?

  • unfortunately the truth is ugly and its not just that the girl right out of a relationship tends to be easier to get into bed. Generally a girl fresh out is going one of two ways either all men are assholes and they don't deserve her or she instantly jumps at anything decently attractive and willing to give her attention. either way there is a need secreted away down deep to please a member of the sex she no longer "has" whether its emotionally sexually or with physical things. There is a ridiculous drive to change to be better to do things differently and its easier fo a conniving asshole to manipulate those feelings to "train" his latest victim, and for the naïve really nice guy it makes them more approachable.(at least that's what they say)

  • Easy to pick up the pieces. Easier to relate. But I've never known anyone to specifically go for a freshly broken up girl.

  • They are vulnerable and therefore an easy target.
