  • I tend not to have a problem with that... if I like someone, I like the person and a lot will need to happen before I look away :D
I have been friends with people that needed or had had treatment. And received lots of friendship for not dropping them :D

  • I'm very surprised at the poll results, especially as it relates to how the genders responded.

I could and would. Mental illness is a disease, and like with any other medical problem I would just want her to get the treatment she needed for it. That's really all that matters, that she is doing things to work on her health. I would love her through anything if she was working on it.

  • Hell no. I'm not putting up with a bipolar/manic depressive/BPD/whatever moody person. That's way too much stress and bullshit for little to no real gain.

    • Ha thanks. I suffer with depression, I'm on medication. But if I miss my pills I crash badly

    • I've had bad depression before, so I sympathize.

  • I have my own problems. I couldn't handle the mental problems of another.

  • No.
I've got plenty of problems myself, don't need someone else's added on.

  • I did for a while, it's not easy, it depends on the severity of their condition.

  • Peoples health conditions have a way of causing mental strain on another... which can result in my own "depression" , which can cause physical pain as well.

Since no one walks into a relationship knowing EVERYTHING about someone, if I loved that person I am sure I could try to tolerate it and learn to help them.
But if I knew it off hand I may be steered away.
I would be looking for a lifetime partner at this phase in my life... already have stress.
I don't want to add to it.
