The thing is, a transgender person only looks like the opposite gender, but they're not biologically. You can think this is offensive but it's true, just look at you X and Y chromosomes. How are we supposed to have kids?
And why would I when there are real women to date?
Nah, couldn't do it. No disrespect to anyone, if that's what you feel inside, then do what feels right for you, but no matter what you present yourself as or even surgically alter on the outside, your DNA always will tell the story. I have a strict "XX" policy. You can't ever at any point have had a penis. Just can't go there. I'd actually be really pissed if I was ever lied to about that, they gotta come up with some kind of full disclosure protocol going forward if this is going to become a big thing.
I'd date someone if they identified male and looked male enough to be physically attractive to me. (Sex organs matter less than outward appearance to me though). I can't help that I'm not physically attracted to girls. :P
