Do long term relationships work?

Do long term relationships, outside of college, that is, actually work? As in two grown adults living in two separate cities with jobs and no intention (that is, at the moment) of moving to where the other one lives.

  • I'm guessing you meant long distance?

As for whether or not it works, depends on the effort put in by both people in the relationship.

  • Do u mean long distance relationships? Yes it can work as long the two persons connect with each other and make effort to make their relationship last. The two persons should be willing to wait and should have the courage to face whatever problem that will come their way.

    • Yes! I didn't even realize that until you pointed it out.

  • It can work but it's hard. Tons of commitment.
You need to hook up for some time before being separated.
You need to travel to each other once a while. Keep in touch a lot.

Bottom line it can work but not it is not for everyone.

  • I think there has to be some long term goal when the immediate one seems so bleak. if there's a silver lining and we really want to be together then I don't see why it can't work..
