so recently I've been seeing YouTube posts and other random articles about some huge taboo of "AFWM" Asian Female White Male relationships and they're written by mainly white girls who hate the fact that Asian girls are sluts and stealing their men. I don't know how this came to be, because I'm Asian and grew up in a white neighbourhood so that's all I ever dated. Never realized it was almost shamed upon til now when I'm in my thirties and this racism still happens, just blows my mind.
Canada and the US is multicultural so it's bound to happen. I feel like my choice in men has almost become an issue like LGBTs. Love is love regardless of race, religion, colour, sex.
can someone shed some light please?

It started as mostly people intimidated by the occurrence of the pairing so they fabricated stories about how terrible them dating is in order to try and shame and therefore control or curtail it. Now that there's a stereotype, others may sometimes find the pairing easier to criticize because they recall the stereotype being negative. I wouldn't pay attention to the hate tbh. They just want to control you.3

I will just point out that if you're an Asian descendent but were actually raised or even born in the West, than that stereotype doesn't really apply to you, in my opinion.
Also, if you're in your thirties and the first time you heard about it was on Youtube, then perhaps NOT "everyone automatically assumes" anything.
This, of course, doesn't mean that all Asians - raised or not in Asia - are saints either.0
