Would you go to couples counseling for a girl you love?

Or would you rather lose the so-called "love of your life" rather than deal with the pain that counseling could stir up?

PS- In this scenario you are a combat veteran dealing with PTSD.

  • Am a vet, PTSD. I would not go to couples counseling. Now divorced.
I put her through enough pain, counseling wouldn't change that

  • I don't think he should change and seek help for himself in the name of love. If the relationship didn't last , he'd go back to his " old self" again. He should seek help , because he wants to find inner peace and have a healthy mind.

If he went to counselling for you , then the effects would only be short-term, because the end goal would be to please you. If he does it for himself , then the effects would last long-term, because he'd find inner peace and , contentment within himself. He'd also have peace of mind. You can't possess those things unless you do it for yourself.
