Why is there such a big difference between 20 and 30 years old, but not 70 and 80?

  • A 20year old is likely still dependent on his/her parents, maybe still living at home, often hasn't started a career, while a 30 year old is finished with education and launched on a working career.

There is such a big gap in life experience. The 20 year old probably wants to see the world, the 30 year old likely has seen it and may be looking to start a family and settle down...

70 and 80 have both seen the world, and both are settled down, for sure! Not much of a gap in their life experience, you would assume!

And a small difference between 500,000,000,000,000 and 500,000,000,000,001

    Think about that

  • Life experience. I doubt many 80 years olds have life defining experiences in the last 10 years. Lots of 30 year olds did.

Also despite people thinking physical and mental growing is a teenager thing. It actually happens usually for both sexes until about 25. The brain is fully developed by then.
