Am I wasting my time here or is there potential?

I've been dating a guy for about two months. We're monogamous but he still says he isn't looking for serious.

We have a great chemistry with each other, have a great time when we go out, and share a lot of mutual friends. However, he has a job that is very demanding and makes him virtually unavailable Mon-Fri, so we only see each other on weekends. He frequently tells me how much he likes me, but he has also admitted to me that he has purposefully distanced himself from me because he didn't intend on developing feelings and he can't commit to a relationship at this point. We say we're not exclusive, but neither of us are really dating or sleeping with anyone else. Am I wasting my time here or is there potential that this could become something more?

  • There is a potential that it could become something more.

Though you're both monogamous, I think he's putting an effort to move things forward with you by meeting every weekend.
