Guys~ Dumb question about texting-

Is there a difference in your feelings behind telling a girl:

Luv you vs. I love you

Miss you vs. I miss you

Night vs. Goodnight

And things like that. It bugs the crap out of me when my boyfriend can't say I LOVE YOU or GOODNIGHT. Feels like he's jst writing me off. Is it just easier to shorten it or are his true feelings coming out via text...?

  • Maybe I'm old school, but I don't text shorthand. I'll use emoticons once in a while (like if I'm being sarcastic and I throw a wink so it's easy to tell I'm just kidding around), but that's about it.

Anyway, to answer your question, "I love you" does seem more serious or genuine that "luv u". Just my opinion.

  • I never text shorthand and my boyfriend doesn't either for the most part. When he's being cute and playful he says, "loves you." or "luv ya" or "luuuurves you" but when he's being serious he says, "I love you, _[my full name]__."
