  • I liked the Shrek ones for a while, but that all changed when I finally saw my current favorite: Megamind.
Love it to bits. (Shrek has now been knocked down a few pegs.)

  • I can't choose just one. Dx So...

    Howl's Moving Castle
    Princess Mononoke
    Beauty and the Beast
    Pocahontas
    Mulan
    Hunchback of Notre Dame
    The Iron Giant
    Quest for Camelot

Those are probably my absolute favorites. I'm sorry.. I can't choose between all those. They're all so good.

  • The Lion King. That movie has a deep meaning for me. It was my first animated film and it was my father's favorite until his death. He took me to see it at the free movies when I was 5.

    • You know, I've never seen Ferngully. I remember the previews for it on the little mermaid. But never seen Ferngully. I'm gonna have to check that one out

  • If it'd have to be a movie I'd probably go with Spirited Away, with Howl's Moving Castle being a close second. They just really touched me I guess, lol.

  • Yep, definitely "The Land Before Time". They used to show it (or one of the sequels) on TV every Christmas day morning (along with "It's a Wonderful Life", and then "The Great Escape" on boxing day), so it's kind of a Christmas tradition for me now.

"Princess Mononoke" is pretty great too.

I hate all the modern CGI animations though, with the exception of the "TinkerBell" movies, which are obviously awesome.

  • Ookami kodomo no ame to yuki. Wolf Children "Rain" and "Snow".

It's a story about the difficulties of growing up, especially when you're "different". It follows the journey of two wolf children.

It's the first non-franchise Japanese animated film I watched, and still is. As far as animated movies go, this is one of the best I think. But maybe a few other Studio Ghibli (jap) movies are better.
