Honestly, I just don't get it. I have nothing against her, but she's just one among many decently talented pop singers. I love a couple of her older songs, but not much of her stuff really does it for me. I tried listening to a bunch of songs from her Beyone album and they were terrible.
Why do people worship her like she's the greatest thing that's ever existed?

I'm not necessarily obsessed with Yoncé but I do admire her ambition, hard work, skill, and raw talent. Plus, she's made it so far that even AUTOCORRECT gets her name right! As someone who as studied music and been around over 300 kids/teenagers/young adults who play instruments and sing; I know for a fact that it is hard to execute those runs and hit those high notes with as much power and smoothness as she does. Sure it's real easy to sit back and criticize simply saying "She can't sing. The songs are terrible" but lets see you get on a stage of thousands and sing with half as much power and confidence. People can be trained for YEARS and never be able to cover the range of vocal notes and capabilities that she can. That's where MY appreciation for her comes from.
Other women probably appreciate Beyoncé because she's like a modern day Aphrodite. She's beautiful, takes care of her body, alluring, seductive, and doesn't give a f*ck what anyone let alone a man thinks about her embracing her sexuality. A lot of women probably dream of having 1/4 of her confidence and boldness. Being that confident and channeling intensity like that is not easy for a lot of women so they really admire her for that. Also, Beyoncé has this way of making any type of women feel proud and sexy, owning who she is and what she's made of.2
