Every time I write a poem It turns into music in my mind?

I can literally listen to music everytime I write a poem. Have you experienced any thing similar?

  • I can hear songs in things others write, and can also take phrases that I've read, heard, etc., and find an appropriate song (oldie) to match them to, almost off the top of my head. But I'll be damned if I can always find lyrics for the songs I write, sometimes they have to stay as instrumentals for a year. I don't write lyrics or poetry first, unlike your situation.

  • Nope, only if I'm intentionally trying to write lyrics. Otherwise, I just read it as poetry in my head.

  • Music can inspire poetry, plus you might be a natural songwriter.
