You use the pencil to wind the tape back in. Truly awful experience.
I know about scrunchies and snap bracelets too.1
Yes, of course :)1
LMFAO the pencil really brings it back together! I hated when the tape would get twisted T-T1
Pencil used to rewind the tape.
The glorious days before "skipping" and rewinding tracks was easily available.1
me me me.. I know.. yayyyyy... pencil is used to rewind the tape.. right?2
Hahaha yes, I'm not THAT young.2
Use the pencil to wind the tape isn't it? I stopped using cassettes when I was about... 9?1
I know it :p1
Oh oh oh. Pick me... Dang it I just missed the cutoff1
You use the pencil to wind the tape back in.1
The pencil is used to adjust the filming tape on the cassette. It is spinned on one of the middle holes.1
Yes I do1
I have seen them in my childhood xD Yep I know1
Yes! I used to use a pencil to wind it up when I was young1
My older sister used a pen cap1
I used to listen to my dad's Walkman, since he had some great '80s music. I had to use the pencil a few times.1

Oh man... I had some battles with cassettes over the years. And the tape would always get a crease in it and fuck up the sound in some spots. Brutal. And to think we thought CDs were the answer to our troubles😂😂😂
Reminds me of the first Nas album...
🎶The smooth criminal on beat breaks... never put me in your box of your shit eats tapes🎶
I am still honestly surprised by how people have completely forgotten about the existence of pagers.
yeah, you use the pencil to rewind or wind back up the magnetic tape. I remember having to do that back in the day.1
yup. remember those days.1
I still use both! An audio cassette can be wound by sticking a pencil through one of the spools. It must be a hexagonal pencil for best traction.1
Yep, when your boombox eats the tape gotta go get a pencil to wind it back inside. Using your pinky hurts after awhile.2
jam the pencil in there for the rewind button lol1
Lol not that young that I'd forget, I used to wind it like that xD1
Duhhhhhh I know it I don't know it's name in English but I swear I know it lol I still play some of it on the cassette2
Its a cassette and the pencil was used to reset after youve listened to it.1
Yes, you look through the two holes of the cassette tape and someone pokes your eye out with the pencil.1
I'm 18 and I know the link. You could also use your little finger and spic the cassette around. But the pencil or biro works better.
I think it's mainly kids born after 1998/2000. Of course there are exceptions!1
To rewind or ff the tape1
Lol... just... gotta... keep re-winding *24 hrs later*1
you know this was a thing in the 90s, right?1
you rewind the cassette with the pencil1
Lol! OK I won't ruin it for the younger generation.1
The pen or pencil was used to write on the mix tape what it was. " church service " " greatest hits " Etc etc1
sure, wish everything would be that easy to fix today :P1
ya ima 27 and still use cassettes1
Yes, you stick the eraser end into the casket hole in order to wind back the tape.1
Use the pencil to wind the tape because the player effed it up...1
OMG THE MEMORIES LOL1
Dude, I used to purposefully do and undo the tape of those things.1
To turn the messed up shinny wires back in the cassette (1997)1
you only need to be around 18 to know that1
