  • Gone Girl is the best mainstream movie from the past few years in my book. Very watchable. If your taste skews older you might like it.

    • Pretty much any reasonably-popular JCVD film = cheesy awesome, kinda like zombie films.

  • Fight club the hateful eight, Ex-machina, Se7en, Aliens and anything on the imdb top 250 http://www.imdb.com/chart/top just pick anything on this list it's pure gold and all the movies are common movies in pop culture so you might get some references you never did.

I've heard mixed things about the Revenant.

    • Ye the revenant is ok in my opinion, there wasn't much story and it went on for too long, The cinematography is gorgeous and the acting is superb.

    • @Josht11 Yeah I've heard that. The actual story isn't that long, so I guess they tried to drag it out for the sake of a film.

  • I recommend Nightcrawler with Jake Gyllenhaal, it's on Netflix. Good flick.
