If your country was a music genre, which would it be?

I live in the U. S and I'm thinking it'd be punk rock
A hatred of authority.
Kind of weird
Loud
Fun

    • But tp be punk you must culturally have a deep seated dislike of authority and your head of state is a queen

    • I think you're referring to the term "anarchist".

    • And you also have to consider that music has changed over time. Punk music has changed and doesn't have the same values that people believed in so much anymore.

  • i live in Australia, so probably reggae its pretty chilled here lol

  • New Zealand would be 'Roots' (patriotic kind of mellow, reggae/hip hop songs about New Zealandy things) and mellow soft rock because that's the music a lot of natives make here. Ladi6 'Like water' or the Mutton Birds 'Anchor me', Goodshirt 'Fiji Baby'. Tiki Tanae.

Though the caliber is quite high, New Zealand music tends to be calm, sentimental, melancholic, and boring, and depressing. (all on purpose)

So I would say Bjork's 'Wanderlust' because I just want to leave Auckland harbor.

If you like Punk listen to the Mint Chicks, they are exceptionally good.

  • A composition like "4 minutes and 33 seconds of silence".

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4%E2%80%B233%E2%80%B3

My country sucks and has nothing productive. So this composition describes my country pretty much.
