In the 1976 movie she did, but in the 2013 movie she didn't, in my opinion.She was abusive, but she didn't want to be abusive, but she felt like she HAD to be, because she was trying to protect her from things that she thought would be far worse - God's Judgment as well as terrorization from her peers. (Unfortunately, she was right about the second part.) She really truly loved her in that version.
@mistixs Do you know why Stephen King hates the idea new Carrie movies, its not because of the book, its because he loved De Palma's Film THAT MUCH, that he thinks any new movie is a disservice to De Palmas movie. So we aren't talking the 2013 one
