What do you think of this as a tattoo?

So... turns out I am doing exactly what was predicted.

Got through my first tattoo and am now already planning my next.

I draw these a lot, and have started calling them Eddy's. Somebody asked me if I was designing a new tattoo when they saw me drawing one and now I can't get the idea out of my head.

So what do you think?

(not getting it any time soon and will likely change my mind before I decide I really do want another)

Updates:
Also, before anyone asks, it isn't any specific thing, it's abstract.
http://fav.me/dacsxew There's another. (will add more as I get them onto DeviantArt)

  • Maybe you should ask the tattoo artist to create a better sketch of that for you. I'm not judging your drawing skills but personally I wouldn't want a cartoonish looking dragon thing on my skin permanently.

  • It sort of looks like cartoon Maori. I quite like it, wouldn't have it permanently on my body but I like the drawing.

  • I really don't like it. It looks like something you do at school for your art homework on the bus.

  • I personally wouldn't get a tattoo like that as I find it far too simple and childish for me. I do however LOVE your "collar" drawing :D

    • Aw thanks! I do quite like how that one came out. I do need to do some more with that style of work actually.

I do agree that the eddy would look very simplistic and unfinished if i did get it tattooed on me.

  • It would look really nice

  • I think it would look better as a tattoo without the squares in the background and with more details but still keeping the cartoony look

I've got that one as well.

How do you suggest I add more detail?
(and yeah the circles and squares are really to fill in the background and make it look less empty)

    • I meant detail on the character like some kind of texture. Try putting some like scales, or try to colour it, see how you like it better :) take your time into deciding the final result, there's no rush

  • It looks okay. I'm not a big tattoo girl.

  • Tatts are too common for me, they're tramp stamps in my opinion.
