I find it very entertaining.
Hi Angel. How's your eye?
Hi Captain! My eye is doing better. Still can't see too well. How arrrrr you?
I'm doing fine. I'm glad to hear your eye's getting better.
May I say your command of English is astounding.
I don't speak English. I speak American. Lol
OUCH! You're right. To be able to make jokes in a non-native language is a fantastic accomplishment
It sure is. Haha. Please don't tell me you're an English teacher. English was never my best subject.
Judging by your use of the language, i don't see how you could have done anything but excel.
Oooo! I get an A? You're too kind, sir.
Have you read any of the books? I'm just curious if the tv show is like the books. Hope they make a second season.
I haven't read the book. I keep abreast of new books in subjects I'm interested in, but missed that one. To the best of my knowledge there is just the one book, which took the author 9 years to write because of the extensive back-story she created, so I'm not counting oaa second season. Still, I enjoyed this one, short though it was.
Well rats. I really enjoyed it too. I'm going to try to find the book. I live in a smaller town and the only book store we have is currently going out of business. I guess I'll have to try to order it online. Let me know if you hear anything about another season!
I will. How's the eye BTW?
Aye is fine. Thanks for asking. How are you doing?
I'm doing fine thanks. Do you read science fiction in English?
I don't know any other language in which to read it. Lol. I used to read a lot. Now I have to read in bits here and there.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thre of my favorites are very dated, but I still recommend them. Ringworld and Protector both by Niven, and The More in God's Eye by Niven and Pournelle.
Sorry that should be Mote not more
I shall have to check those out. What's your favorite sci-fi movie or show?
I really enjoyed The Martian, and Gravity was good, as were minority report and Jurassic park, but generally movies and TV shows ignore the concepts in favor of action, so I really prefer books.
The book I recommended have some fantastic concepts in them that blew my mind when I first read them.
I always prefer to read the books. Movies have a tendency to mangle the story sometimes. Right now I'm reading Beyond Einstein by Michio Kaku. Not exactly sci-fi, but sort of. Lol
I'll have to read that. I thought you spoke Danish because of your screen name. Just goes to show what happens when you assume.
Lol I know my screen name is kind of dumb. I didn't really think it through. I have been a truck driver most of my life and it used to be my cb handle. I am part Danish. (cheese - just kidding) Putty good English for a truck driver, huh? Lol
Are you the woman who was having trouble dating because of your unfamiliarity with conventional femine culture?
Who me? ... yes.
Well you banter well. I'm surprised you have trouble. Tbh.
Plus you like af and fantasy. Clearly you've never been to Cambridge, MA, you'd be snatched up so fast you'd go ftl.
Sorry SF not af. Totally different idea LOL
You make me blush! Never been to Mass. but it sounds like it may be worth the trip. Lol. I don't know if I would have better luck though. I don't really fit in anywhere.
Your unconventional. Go unconventional places. amd meet unconventional people. Ever been to burning man? P. s. I haven't but I plan to.
I'm kind of a loner. I'm not anti-social, I'm anr-drama. My best friend died suddenly in April. I recently ended a long relationship. I just need someone to talk with. I hope I'm not being a pain.
Not at all. meet mes on pm.
Never seen either one but I'll check 'em out
