Most Helpful Girl

  • There are so many! Happiness is a Warm Gun and In My Life sticks out most. A Day in the Life, Across the Universe, Eleanor Rigby, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Strawberry Fields, All My Loving, Girl, She Loves You, Octopus's Garden, Yellow Submarine, With a Little Help From My Friends, Here, There, and Everywhere, If I Fell, many of the the songs from Please Please Me. Fuck, they're my favourite band. :)

Oh, and they didn't write this one, but I absolutely love their cover of it:

You saw the Beatles? Lucky guy 😊

    • 2mo

No, I meant I saw them on the Ed Sullivan Show. I was just a kid then. My parents weren't into that kind of music at all (they only listened to old foggie music and thought the Beatles were just noise). But they came and got us kids to watch the show. I guess the realized it was a big thing and thought we should see it. I'm glad they did.

    • 2mo

Wow that's amazing. It's a good thing your parents let you see it

  • My profile pic says it all XD

I just found them like 1 month ago. I had never ever heard them before.
Needless to say that I haven't heard anything else for the last month lol
I even burnt a CD to listen in the car.

Awe dude I remember when that happened to me. I "discovered" them when I was like 16 and for the next year it was like Beatlemania, that's all I listened to. I love many of those songs you mentioned, especially Eight days (so catchy!) , No reply, Help, Gonna lose that girl, Don't let me down, I wanna hold your hand (brings out my inner teeniebopper), all I gotta do, Strawberry fields (both versions), Something (makes me feel like a hippie), Across the universe (same as Something).

      I would also add
      In My Life
      This Boy
      Ask me why

Ah the Beatles are amazing 😊

And I also saw the whole Paul is Dead (Faul McCartney) thing, also with a lot of more sad songs than the happy ones.

  • "A Day In The Life" is definitely my favorite. I think it's the only Beatles song I actually had enough patience to learn all the instrument parts for haha

Wow thats an obscure one. its been a while since the last time I heard it but it's a good song.

    • 2mo

It was rather popular when I was a child. . . shortly after the Spanish-American War. :)

  • Help for sure. John Lennon always had the more charismatic voice and thus the songs he was singing were definitely better most of the time.
