What Guys Said 42

  • In my main language its like

"Terribly sorry, but one does find oneself falling awfully in love with you"

  • Japanese: 愛してる (Aishiteru)

It's not so common for Japanese people to say this though. They more often just express "like" instead of "love".

I'm also not sure if Japanese is really "my language". It was my first language and there was a time when I didn't know English at all, but I think I became better at English over the years.

    • I cannot read kanji very well, for example.

    • Huh. Yeah that's strange... my little sister as well is... kind of like that. Though she's just... less in touch with traditions and stuff. I wonder if that's a thing...
Personally though, I like having the choice of two cultures, you know what I mean?

    • @TheLuckyPizzaDog Definitely -- I get "food homesick" both ways as a simple example. If I'm in Japan for a while, I miss food in the U. S. If I'm in the U. S. for a while, I miss food from Japan.

  • I'm an American so a big disappointment for language differences.
So you know it already, it's "I love you"

However, since my girlfriend is Finnish and i'm not sure how many Finnish people we could have here. I'd say it in Finnish too.

Rakastan Sinua or Minä Rakstan Sinua

  • In Spanish, you say "Te quiero". If you translate it literally it means "I want you". But it simply means "I love you" to your boyfriend or girlfriend. :)
