I can't fashion, I don't know, I just wanted to try wearing a dress in colder weather and this happened. Also, sorry for the messy room; the only full-length mirror in the house is in my parents' room, and I don't mess with their stuff.

it's not *that* bad. It's not stylish in the way of someone is going to snap your photo on the sidewalk to add to their street-style fashion blog. But it's not hideous or anything lol It is a good basic dress to work with and your accessories are all great on their own but I'm not sure they work together.
Everyone has a personal preference so take my comments with a grain of salt! haha
A few pointers that might help:
-Belt: I think it would help if you had a shorter belt (or found a way to tuck the end into the belt so that it isn't hanging)
-Shoes: The shoes aren't bad. Boots are very in and they've got an artsy/hipster/vintage vibe to them haha (or as my friend would say..."twedge" haha) They might look better with jeans though (or a different style/cut of a dress) so for this outfit I would try black flats or a dressier boot.
-Necklace: Again, not bad. but it gets kind of lost with the long, thin chain. I would opt for some contrast though and since you've got more of a basic dress in a neutral color I would try a necklace that is chunkier or a brighter color. You could also wear a scarf.
-Tights/leggings: I actually quite like the bright color :) If you don't feel comfortable in it though, you could opt for black or those patterned ones (like polka dots or lace)
I like using Pinterest to look for inspiration for fashion. You don't have to have an account to search through their site (you can screenshot or save the pics you like to your phone/computer)1
