How can I change my style without buying a whole new wardrobe?

I've been going through style phases lately, and last summer I had my girlie phase. This has left me with many brightly colored tops from Hollister and like places.

Now I'm over the girlie phase and I'm transitioning into a retro/vintage/rockabilly type style, though I still want to keep my look feminine, just not super girlie.

I can't afford a whole new wardrobe, so I'm wondering if I can take all my Hollister tops and either alter or accessorize them in some way that will make them more reflective of my current style.

  • Ooh ooh ooh! Get some long beaded necklaces! You can get them cheepy, but forsome reason they make everything look a little vintage. Look for different textures to mix via necklaces
