Tips on looking good on video for un-photogenic people?
i have some ideas about picture, like lighting and other tweaks. but anybody got any experience how to counter un-photogenic-ness for video?

you mean unvideogenic? haha. daylight usually looks best and for positioning I think "back lightening" is best

I've found my videos look best when I have sunlight hitting my face. Regular indoor lighting is usually really bad and too dark, at least the lighting in my bedroom is.
its all about angles and lighting...
just adjust those and you will be fine.
