Button down shirts or polos in a dress-style environment?

I need to look snazzy, which would you prefer?

I need to look nice at school, and I'm thinking girls like polo's. But I don't really know. Polo's seem more casual, and I'm hoping that will go off well.

  • Button downs. Generally not a fan of polos, actually. Button downs can be casual (and hot) if you roll up the sleeves. :)

  • I don't like Polo's, personally.

I think a plain white t shirt with a plaid button up unbuttoned over with the sleeves rolled up is a good look though

  • I wear polo's when I'm horse back riding or playing golf. In school, I'll just mix and match random stuff, things I'm comfortable in that look good :)

  • I would say polo's, but there's no harm in mixing a little of both, especially if you add in a cardigan or two. Makes the girls go crazy~

  • I'm really not a fan of polos as dress wear. Let's face it, they're basically t-shirts with collars and buttons. However, if you're just trying to look a little classier at school then I figure polos should be fine for that. I still prefer button-downs personally, but everyone has their own style.
