-going and getting your eyebrows waxed and then maintaining them by either plucking or going in to get them waxed whenever needed. the appearance of your eyebrows can change how you entire face look for better or for worse, so invest in keeping them the right shape and thickness for your face shape.
-getting the right haircut for your face. different styles and lengths suit different people. you can find a picture on google or in a magazine of someone with the same/similar face shape/hair texture that has a hairstyle that you like and looks good and you can bring it in to a hairdresser or salon and ask them to cut your hair the same way. again the right haircut can transform your face and make you look much better. (sometimes a slight change of color e.g. highlights is also a fun way to spice up your look).
-take care of your skin. figure out your skin type e.g. dry, oily, normal, combination, sensitive or acne prone. you can use google results to help you figure out which one you are. once youve figured that out find a daily cleanser you can use that is aimed at taking care of that skin tone. use this twice daily, once in the morning and once at night. pick a good moisturizer. if you have oily skin, choose an oil free moisturizer, dry; choose an oil based moisturizer, etc. I really like garnier moisturizers and they are affordable, but there are plenty out there. also put sunscreen on your face daily as a means to protect the skin, even if its cloudy.
-buy a good lip balm and maybe a scrub if you have very dry lips. keeping your lips looking moisturized, healthy and plump is a good idea. dry lips can retract from the overall appearance of your face.
-dress for your body type. wear colors that suit your skin tone (not colors on trend), and wear the styles of pants, shirts, everything that suit your body type and make you look very balanced. don't show too much skin and don't wear things you are not comfortable in because uncomfortable people don't look good.
-makeup. if you like wearing makeup keep it natural looking and practice your technique because no one gets to be a makeup pro right away. I would say owning a good eyelash curler and mascara alone can do you wonders. sometimes there's no need for anything else.
-eat healthy and drink lots of water and gets enough sleep and exercise. it makes you feel better, have more energy, makes your body and skin look better and is just good for you overall.
