  • In UK it's caramel, although in some parts in more like caramul.

Any other way is just lazy. It's like I hear and see "Prolly" instead of "Probably". Got so lazy, they even spell it incorrectly!!

In UK, Carmel is a name. My mum had a friend called Carmel H...

  • I know it's pronounced as cara-mel, but I have always shortened it to car-mel. That's how my family pronounced it, so I just follow in their lead. It makes more sense to me when said out loud.
