Why order skinny coffee but still have all the trimmings?

I work making coffees. Fair enough if someone says they want a small/medium coffee made with skimmed milk, but why order a large, skimmed milk, with flavoured syrup shots and cream on top too? Surely it counteracts the low calories in the skim milk? It's just one of those little things that bugs me and i can't understand :P

  • Because switching to skim milk doesn't change the flavor, but taking out the syrup shots and cream does. In fact, if I take out the trimmings, I may as well just make coffee at home.

  • The calorie count in some of these drinks is almost equivalent to a small meal. I'll stick with black, no sugar.

  • Those are the same people who order the large meals with high fat content but get a diet coke/pop/soda "just to make it healthy" lol

  • It's called balance, reducing calories but still with great flavors
