Of course it's possible. People do this already. It's just not widely practiced. I think the main reason for that is it's hard for most people to find one person they want to settle down with. Finding two, and then having those two also love each other, seems very hard. Especially long term. But obviously not impossible. As for raising kids, I think those kids would be better off than in a two-parent family. Extra income, extra support, parents would be less stressed, etc.3
