  • No, unless it is clearly stated in an employment contract. I think pretty much all U. S. states at "At Will" states. Which are clearly stated in your employee handbook, agreement, documentation, etc.

    At Will means that you or your employer can terminate employment for any reason at any given time.

  • Not where I'm from. You get an induction period during which either party can bail out. After that you are either given a contract or you can go.
