Why has there been no Star Trek TV series in a decade?

It's such BS. Star Trek is some of the best stuff that's been on television. There are so many important themes and messages in it, and plus the storytelling is just generally pretty great. I like the new movies, but a couple of hours every 3-4 years is nothing. There should be full seasons every year. Michael Dorn wanted a 'Captain Worf' series, and why not that? His character is a fan favorite, and I'm sure it would've been good.

  • The last series was pretty bad and they ran out of ideas.

    • The last series started off okay, but by the 4th season it was FANTASTIC and really hit its stride.

      So your opinion is flawed.

    • Show All
    • Sometimes, but not always. Enterprise wasn't brilliant. Stargate Universe was brilliant. The ST series that focused on the character/species soap operas weren't as interesting as the series that focused on ideas more often. That's why TNG was the best ST.

    • Sgu was far weaker than the other two... u era?

  • BECAUSE OF THE MOVIES... DUH!!
