Is ok to put windex in your truck where washer fluid goes?

  • No. Put proper windshield washer fluid in the reservoir. Windex will be no better than plain water. You might as well drive in the rain to clean your windshield.

    • Ok :( I was completely out but had some windex lol looks like I will be going to a gas station. I wasn't sure if they were similar.

  • It will work but it will also freeze quicker in the winter so you better use it up before then

    • No snow, freezing temps or ice where I live.. I just don't want to gum up the lines or have it leave a film.

    • No it won't do that , just be a little more soapy but it's more expensive than regular washer fluid which has a lower freezing point

  • If they have the same chemicals, I'm not sure they do
