Do hospitals in Japan have dedicated emergency departments like in the USA?

If not, how does emergency care work there?

  • I don't know about the ER in Japan hospitals but i do know
I saw something on TV about this ER in Malaysia and you had
to pay for any service they gave you , this one American doctor
had to treat her friend who got in accident and he was American
he had to be life flighted from Malaysia to hospital in America
cause the cost of test that needed to be done and stuff

  • I would imagine so, but they would certainly operate differently. Every country does things differently. It's not like the US is the gold standard for the world for everything.

    • So how does it work there. Where do ambulances go etc?

  • I would imagine it is much the same as other countries but being Japan they probably have very advanced technology in their hospitals.

  • Yeah. That's pretty much hospitals operate around the world. Certain departments dealing with a specific kind of emergencies and scenarios etc etc.
