I'm interning at this awesome company for the summer and trying to build relationships and contacts while I work, because it's the industry I want to be in once I'm out of school, but it takes being more assertive and outgoing, which I'm really working on. I know my stuff, but I tend to be more of a wallflower than someone who talks with everyone easily.
Also, I wish I had some guidelines on how to identify people who are genuinely talented, driven, hard-working, smart, etc. I want to make sure to talk to enough of the right people. Hopefully it comes with practice.
Any advice from your own experiences?

Just be yourself and when you get to know people, enjoy their company, don't feel you have to rush into making connections - Real friendships are better than forced connections1
