I'm partially Greek. Hence, my favorite meat is lamb. If you've ever watched the movie "My big fat Greek wedding" you know why. Lamb is like the holy grail for Greek people :-).
I also enjoy beef, fish (especially raw), bacon and goat a lot. The last one is also a Greek/Turkish/Arabic thing. On Greek eastern (which is celebrated roughly 2 weeks after the protestant/catholic eastern), the Greek people in my town all get together on this big meadow with tents to sit inside and stuff and then there's this really big, open fireplace where some of the older men of the community sit and chat slowly rotate whole bodies of goats on really big skewers over the fire for several hours. The women make other things in the meantime such as Greek salad and potatoes and and other Greek dishes and the children run around and play and in the end, everyone eats together. Young goat meet is really delicious... I'm looking forward to having it every spring :-)
