1.) The average driver in the US is horrible. Since there is no required training besides passing a questionnaire and 2 mile long driving test.
2.) The fat stereotype is true. Lots of fat people.
3.) The education system here does not focus on history very much, so expect the average person's idea of the Revolutionary War to be "our farmers beat your military".
4.) No one gives two shits about football (soccer here).
5.) Compared to other places on the planet, overly friendly. Strangers tend to start talking to eachother all the time.
6) Loud. I don't know what it is, but I came back from a trip to Scotland last year and holy shit did I notice that stereotype.
7) The things about larger portions of food is true.
8) Not joking at all, there are some people I know who ONLY drink soda.1
Where are you from and what city are you traveling to?
If i were you, i'd google "top 10 tips for foreigners traveling to America"0
How old are you? From what country are you coming?0
Most of us are very nice people. Often times we like to get to know more about you and your native country by asking questions. Sorry if the questions may seem silly. We are not all fat and loud. Some of us know a lot about history. Don't be nervous, enjoy your stay. By the way where in the US are you going to? We have a lot of regional differences.0
If you're friendly, you'll be alright. Being foreign might get you attention from guys0
