Why should people and businesses go green?

Please don't give me the saving the world stuff. Are there any other reasons?

  • Not destroying the world should really be enough of a reason, shouldn't it?

    • Yeah. But Japan and China do must if the actual damaging of the earth. American does such a small amount that it doesn't matter unless other places go green first.

  • Because it could help make a better impression with people and potentially increase their customer base. A lot of people like to buy from companies that they feel good about supporting. They like to buy from businesses that share the same values that they do, and more and more people are supporting the green movement these days.

Corporate citizenship isn't just nice, it can also be profitable too.

  • Is there a better reason than saving the world? I mean, if you don't save the world then you won't have any planet to think up other reasons on in the first place.

    • Yeah. But America is doing a very small amount of actually hurting the planet. Japan does over 5 times the damage all of north America does and China does another 10 time on top of that.

    • I agree with you. But what do people gain in the short term?

    • Well, green energy is cheaper than fossil fuels, surely?

  • 1. It's saving money in the long run
    2. Things get done quicker.
