Get the bike adjusted to fit you at your local bike shop and try out several different saddles. Build up your endurance no faster than 10% farther each week. Lift your weight off the seat when you go over bumps and potholes. Build your core strength (try balance ball exercises) so your body can easily hold itself in a variety of different postures.1
