Is it possible to fix a torn banknote?

I mean as torn as this one:

  • If you turn it in to your bank they will give you a new one as long as the serial number is in tact.

  • You could tape it together or keep it folded and use it in a corner shop or something

  • I think it is up to retailer whether to accept it or not - Years ago you just slapped a bit cellotape on it and thought nothing more of it - I would cellotape and chance my arm at a shop or a slot machine - If not in Ireland you would have to go to central bank and hand it in then they would give you a note of similar value back.

  • Sticky tape? I've either given or received a taped up note from a shop (it was so long ago I can't remember) so maybe they're fine with it.
