When to eat food after dentist?

i have just had a dentist appointment where i got fillings, my mouth is numb and its 2 hours since i have had the anastetic, i also have either steak or chicken for dinner, when can i eat this and could i eat the steak tonight or should i leave it until tomorrow for the filling?

  • I just had dental work yesterday and my whole mouth was numb. Just cut really small pieces and chew slow so as not to bite your check or tongue. :-)

  • My doctors used to tell me that the filling takes about 2-3 hours to be bound, but you shouldn't eat until your numbness is gone or you will literally bite your tongue. I personally waited 6 hours last time.

  • Just eat the food on the side of the mouth without fillings for like a week
