Why are all wars, based on holy war?

Most, if not all wars, are based on holy war. That, certain religions are bad, or that "god" told that person to carry out certain acts. Heck the original way the American Civil war started was John Brown, believeing the war was a holy war, that he was told by god to protect the north, a terrorist to the south

  • You can safely bet that about all wars have economical reasons.
God and religion are only tools to convince people to figh, nothing more. Muhammad used that, Europe used that for the Crusades and colonisation. GW Bush and Blair too used that to justify their invasion of Iraq. ISIS uses it.

    Nothing new.

What Guys Said 3

  • most wars were not and are not. the civil war had nothing to do with religion. Most major wars the USA fought had nothing to do with religion, 1812, Spain, WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Iraq. Religion has caused wars, but human greed is the main cause.

  • Thats what they want to believe. Its because they want to sell weapons and get resources for economic groups that wars are provoked

  • Actually7 I totally disagree with your statement. Some wars are based on religion. Most wars are based on politics.
