  • We were never forced to write in cursive but it was mandatory to learn it. I love writing in cursive. :) I have an appreciation for the fluidity amongst the transition letters.

  • I do not know how to write the top way. Never was taught. I always write the bottom way. I just think the top way can be hard to read sometimes and the bottom way is more clear and faster to read.

  • Cuneiform on wax tablets. Occasionally I'll lapse into Aramaic on stone tablets, but only if I'm near a burning bush!

  • It's print or script. Cursif is script.

I have a modified script that I've developed over the years as a part of a self branding project for design work. But hey, I don't want to sound pretentious.

  • I usually use cursive.
When I was in school you learned printing first then cursive a few years later.
Most schools here in the U. S. don't even teach cursive anymore.

  • I learned cursive. But I have never had to use it in real life. I honestly don't know anyone who does, either.

  • Well... Technically I'm not writing in cursive, but my letters aren't separated either, haha. I write in a weird script which is mostly legible and occasionally doesn't even look like I'm using the right alphabet. But I've heard it's pretty, at least, lol.

  • Your fonts are a very bad example.

You are trying to represent joined up and single. What you have done is displayed computer perfect and borderline calligraphy.

I was encouraged to join up my handwriting, not become Charles dickens.
Nowadays it's a mix of joined and singular.

  • Depends on what I'm writing at the time. Essays and other professional pieces of writing are always written in cursive whereas notes and such are written with detached letters.
