  • Yes, too strong. People notice instantly. I grew up speaking proper English as a youth but can be very broken at times. But only when I'm upset which rarely happens anyway. I have strong outside accents which I practiced over the years. I can be other people besides myself and not get caught lol

  • Honestly, I have no idea. I've been told by my friend from Thailand that I have a nice accent though. But I don't think I have one.

  • People always say that I do. A mix of Chicago and a teeny bit of leftover Mexican accent in some words.

  • I tend to switch between a strong local accent and Standard High German with a local touch, but mostly I speak SHG with a minor but noticeable accent.

    • So does that mean your English sounds like Singaporeans' English? :- )

    • @Solitude1 Most Indians have accents that are connected to their local dialect. Me on the other hand somehow have been bred more in English. We speak English at home etc - at least used to with my dad. With mom it's the native language :) Ofcourse I speak quite a few Indian dialects :D

    • @Solitude1 I can't send you a message - you are set to 'following' only i. e. if you are following me lol

  • I naturally have a strong Scouse accent, but I have toned it down a lot because I don't like it. When I'm drunk my natural accent comes out, which tends to shock people haha

  • Apparently I have an accent from Teacheristan.

My students love it when I imitate Yoda and Edward G. Robinson (even though none of them know who Edward G. Robinson is).

  • A couple of people have told me that I sound Californian, but honestly I'm not sure what that means.

    • Fer sure! Fer sure!

I think that was too dated a reference.

  • Not very thick but people can tell I'm from Massachusetts lol

  • Some people tell me I have a California accent, whatever that is. But when I visit my family in Chicago, that Midwest accent hits me hard
